Tempest, political,
when will you hit?
These shores are now ripe,
I pray you don’t miss.

I pray you bring chaos,
and light sparks of doubt,
I pray you show reason,
To those who’re devout.

I pray that your coming,
is met with great fear;
fear that breaks silence,
in the most austere.

I pray you break shackles,
and set people free–
regardless of colour,
their sex, or their creed.

I pray that your coming,
is remembered in time;
and not lost in the noise,
or covered in grime.

Oh tempest, political,
when will you hit?
My body is ready,
my body is fit.

Allow me to march against the untruth;
against those who lie, and call it uncouth.

Tempest, political,
When will you hit?
My shores are now ripe,
I pray you won’t miss.
